Homecoming 2013

The Tioga High School football team played an exciting game on October 4. The boys won the game 42-20. The halftime show was a success by both the band and cheerleaders. The Tioga Marching band, made up of 7th - 10th graders, led us in our school song, our fight song, and "Jaws," and, for the first time in Tioga history, they marched onto the field to perform. The High School cheerleaders did a great job with their cheer, dance, and stunt.

All week long our school was overflowing with spirit. Monday came and went, but not without loads of characters! Tuesday we were just giddy with our western wear. Wednesday much camo was seen and everybody was "happy, happy, happy." Thursday was filled with more nerds than you could count; the school spirit was abundant. Friday, many students sported their green and white to show their support. The hallways jingled and rang with spirit and mums.

The day then brought us the presentation of our homecoming court. The 9th grade representatives were Audrey Staples and Dillon Bryant. The 10th grade court members were Samantha Holcomb, Alia Quintero, Wills Bollin, and Cade Gibson. The 2013 Homecoming Prince and Princess were Micah Villa and Verenise Aguirre. Congratulations to everyone!

He Really Kissed the Pig!

We had a student vs faculty basketball game to raise money for Relay for Life. The teachers "stomped" the students! Well, they thought they did anyway.....

At the game, our superintendent, Mr. Baker had to kiss a pig. He "won" the Kiss the Pig contest. It was awesome!

Through these fundraisers we were able to raise $500 to donate to the American Cancer Society in honor of an 8th grader at our school who has cancer.

Tioga's Annual Talent Show

The talent show was held on February 25. The theme was "Welcome to Regionals" based on the television show glee.

We had 29 participants who sang, danced, and played their hearts out for a chance at the prizes. Our winners were: 3rd place - Kari Hughes, 2nd place - Jacob Harp, 1st place was a tie between Abbie Harp and Aaron Harp. Great job guys!

All the participants did an awesome job and the "glee cast" was a hit! Check out these pictures from the show!
